“The Glassboro Police Department Safe Transaction Zone has been set up in the rear of the public municipal lot near the Code Enforcement Building. The area is outlined with a green parking space as well as a green sign indicating the “Safe Transaction Zone”. The parking lot is well-lit and the space is monitored by a state-of-the-art surveillance system. Although the spot is not actively monitored, we will be able to review any transactions that occur in the designated area.
Please be aware, members of the Glassboro Police Department will NOT participate in transactions or act as witnesses. Our employees are not available for legal advice or allowed to settle disagreements between parties involved in transactions occurring in our facilities. However, if there are general questions or a safety concern arises during a transaction, please do not hesitate to call 856-881-1500 or 9-1-1.
Transactions involving weapons, drugs, or drug paraphernalia are barred from the zone, as well as they are illegal.
The transaction zone is available for use 24 hours a day, however, citizens are strongly encouraged to use the zone during daylight hours.”
